Frisco’s Strong Economy
In terms of commercial and residential growth, Frisco is unmatched by any community its size in Colorado. Numerous restaurants, shop and hotels have opened in just the last few years. Literally hundreds of new residential units have been constructed, and property values have skyrocketed by nearly 100% since 1990.
Job opportunities are overwhelming, especially in the thriving lodging, retail and restaurant communities. Check out the latest Frisco and Summit County news, as well as job and housing opportunities, in the Summit Daily News. You can also check out weather in the Frisco area.
Town Government
The town government has taken advantage of the outstanding tourist economy to invest in numerous improvements, including adding pathways, underground powerlines, increasing police patrol personnel, installing athletic fields and a disk golf course at the Peninsula Recreation Area and moving the Lund House, a local historic home, as a permanent office and retail space at the Frisco Bay Marina. And our well-equipped local fire department allows the town an excellent fire rating. The town government is also a good place to work.
Prime Location
Central to four world-class ski areas, a world-class bike path system and along the shores of immaculate Lake Dillon, Frisco is literally at the crossroads of Summit County, Colorado’s premier mountain community. It’s no wonder the headquarters for the Summit County School District, Colorado Department of Transportation, Summit Stage bus system, Summit County Library, Colorado State Patrol and Summit County Seniors are all located here.
Thriving Business Environment
Opportunity beckons for any business operator who wants Interstate access, steady tourist influx, well-educated and motivated workers, a first-class infrastructure and a growing residential base. In addition, Frisco offers comprehensive transportation (including the free Summit Stage bus system) and media access, including the mountain bureau for Denver’s CBS television affiliate, the county’s only daily newspaper and the county’s oldest weekly newspaper. Frisco is also “connected” with easy access to Internet providers and fiber optics to Grand Junction and Denver.
